Creating an equitable future through education

On Thursday 7th October 2021, , the University of Cambridge (the , and the Intellectual Forum at °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½Ó¿Ú) and (the Campaign for Female Education) co-hosted a conference at °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½Ó¿Ú to spotlight the work of the Yidan Prize community towards creating an equitable future through education.

This conference brought together global policymakers, educationalists, business leaders, foundation heads, leading academics, and activists. The event had a strong focus on the global challenges facing education today and considered the inequalities exposed by the pandemic and the disruption exacerbated by climate change, which disproportionately affects women and girls. There was a spotlight on the efforts and partnerships to find solutions in reaching the most marginalised young people and in re-imagining quality education for all.

The Honourable Julia Gillard AC, 27th Prime Minister of Australia and Chair of the Global Partnership for Education, and Princess Laurentien of the Netherlands, Board Director of the Yiden Prize Foundation, were among the keynote speakers, alongside Yiden Prize laureates.
